Q & A: Opportunities and Risks of Becoming an Indonesian NFT Creator

We all certainly know how great the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) market opportunity is on a global level. Indonesia was recently "swarmed" by the presence of one of the NFT creators who managed to reap billions of rupiah in profits through selfies uploaded to the OpenSea NFT Marketplace. This makes the surge in Indonesian enthusiasm for NFTs even more increasing, with a variety of motivations behind it. But, what are the actual opportunities that can be achieved from this NFT? What can be used by the spread of NFTs in Indonesia?

Most importantly, is it really safe to find money with NFTs? What about legal compliance in Indonesia?

Dwinanto Strategic Legal Consultant (DSLC) has successfully held a Webinar "Opportunities and Risks of Becoming an Indonesian NFT Creator", on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Through this webinar, Clarissa Veronica (Ichacho), a creativepreneur and also one of the NFT creators from Indonesia with her original illustration works, has explained the intricacies of NFTs, from definitions to opportunities and even the potential risks involved in them. This discussion was also continued through a legal perspective, especially regarding the legality of NFTs in Indonesia, by Rizky Dwinanto as Managing Partner of DSLC who is also a legal consultant with a number of experience handling business flows in Indonesia.

Due to the limited time while there were so many questions that come in, here we summarize some similar questions that were not answered in the webinar. The Q&A is in the Indonesian language. If you have any specific question(s) regarding this topic that need to be answered in English, please contact us.
